In 2009, Mike Schwab started performing at “No Shame Eugene” shows. No Shame is a great open mic theater show that allows people to perform an act up to five minutes long. The performance must not break anything, and it must be an original piece. When Mike created his first comedy sketch involving Santa Claus and Mrs. Claus getting a divorce, he had no idea it would lead to 76 more comedy sketches over the next 13 years! He was hooked on creating funny sketches. He tackled many topics, such as: holidays, relationships, pets, seasons, local events, culture, celebrities, and local geography. He also threw in some comedic song and dance performances. Creating these comedy sketches was the first step to becoming a filmmaker, as he decided to turn some of these scripts into movies.
