MIKE SCHWAB

Filmmaker, Comedian, Actor, Meteorologist, Playwright, Adventurer, and Educator

Mike Schwab was born into a life of adventure and new experiences, and he carried this into adulthood. His father’s service in the Air Force led to Mike being born in the Philippines, and he lived in six very different places as a youth. As an adult, his love for science and nature led him to earn a degree in Meteorology, and he spent summers in Yosemite NP, Denali NP, and Lake Tahoe. Later on, he taught science at Astrocamp and The Eugene Science Center. He combined his interest in adventure and education by creating a YouTube channel and Instagram account involving travels to great places and creating educational videos about these locations.

Furthermore, he always loved creating humor. This led him to produce standup comedy routines, comedy sketches, and movies. More recently, he combined his interests of entertainment and education into an edutainment show called “Hey! Learn This!”

Another love of his has been with acting and theater. He had small roles in TV shows such as: Boston Legal, 24, and Greek, and he also performed in numerous musicals, plays, and independent films. In addition, he directed two 10-minute plays at Lane Community College, and he directed a 10-minute play at The Oregon Contemporary Theater. Finally, he wrote and directed a 45-minute play for The 2022 World Athletics Championships entertainment stage.
